Request for Proposals: Evaluation of Data Collection Process for Innovative Patient Safety Program

Extended Deadline: April 1, 2022

The Oregon Patient Safety Commission seeks the services of an evaluator to review and recommend improvements to the data collection process for Oregon’s innovative Early Discussion and Resolution (EDR) program. Since 2014, EDR has promoted open conversation between patients who experienced harm (or their family members) and their healthcare providers. EDR provides confidentiality protections for these important conversations to encourage participants to talk candidly about the harm that occurred, work toward reconciliation outside of the legal system, and contribute to safeguarding others from similar harm.

We believe that improving the quality of the data we collect will also improve our ability to learn from it and make recommendations for best practices related to resolving patient harm events.

We encourage applications from a disadvantaged business enterprise, minority-owned business, woman-owned business, a business that a service-disabled veteran owns, or an emerging small business.
